Christmas craft :::Paper Plate Elf

Here is a simple Christmas craft that you can make at home and hang them on the tree.
3 easy steps to make a Paper Plate Elf.

Materials Needed:
1. Card stock paper
2. Black marker
3. Glue
4. Scissors
5. Paper plate
6. Tissue paper

See Picture 1 - Have the kids cover a paper plate with glue (using a wide paintbrush) and stick on cut up pieces of red tissue paper. Cut out an elf hat shape and have them cover that as well.

See Picture 2 - Make some belt pieces and glue it over the elves bellies. Make a circle for the elves head and have them paint it a tan color.

See Picture 3 - Cut out some shoes, mittens, and eyes for the elves. Tape each piece together really well on the back and the front. The bigger elf was really heavy so it kept bending backwards but it looked great hanging up in the window!

Santa Strawberries Receipe

1.     1 dozen strawberries

2.     1 cup whipped cream

3.     a handful of chocolate sprinkles

Using a pairing knife, slice the leafy end off each strawberry so they stand up evenly. Then slice the tip off to make a little hat.

Using a spoon or a large icing tip, place a large dollop (about 1-2 tsp) of whipped cream on top of the strawberry base. Plop the little hat on top. Add another small dollop of whipped cream to the tip of the hat to make a mock pom-pom.

Place two chocolate sprinkles in the Santas "face" for the eyes. Using a toothpick, place two very small splotches of whipped cream down the front of the strawberry for buttons.

You're done! It's that easy. If you don't eat them right away, store them in the fridge to keep them cold. Santa doesn't do well with heat.
